Adding nuts to your smoothie can be an easy way to add healthy fats, protein and many minerals and nutrients to your smoothie. Nuts are also great to throw on your acai bowl or to use to make your own nut milk.
Nuts can be combined with nut butters or nut milk to enhance the nutty flavor and add texture and creaminess to your smoothie.

Nuts are great but they are also very high in calories and you can easily over do it and end up with a very high calorie meal instead of a light snack.
